I have worked for many years mainly with the South African Holocaust and Genocide Foundation (SAHGF) to translate my expertise on the history and representation of the Holocaust, and especially how subsequent generations have confronted its legacy, into human rights education around the African continent.

Specifically, this has involved a number of impact projects with the SAHGF to roll out their change-makers programme across Africa.

Change-makers works with young people to develop their historical understanding both of the Holocaust but also the legacy of human rights violations in their own countries, and to use this understanding to build ore resilient societies in the present day.

I have worked with SAFGF as a consultant on the materials and delivery of the Change-Makers programme and to help evaluate its outcomes.
