Ruth Bookbinder is a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Politics and International Studies where she works with Alex Beresford on just transitions and energy politics.
She has published on the politicisation of the energy transition in South Africa and her current project explores trade unions experiences of energy transition in South Africa.
In addition to South Africa she has researched the social relations of energy use in the UK as part of the Whole Person Whole Place project in the School of Earth and Environment.
