Countries
I work with crop and climate models, satellite data and machine learning, across the continent, to assess food production on seasonal to multi-decadal timescales.
Applications are a core part of the work and many of my projects involve co-production approaches to produce decision-relevant information.
For example, in Kenya, I am working with a team to produce improved agro-advisory services for climate resilience, as well as longer-term climate change assessments oriented towards policy (e.g. crop diversification, irrigation).

There is also a stream of work developing scenarios of future food production systems and nutritional outcomes in Tanzania, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Kenya.
This work explores policy options and specific food system transformation pathways.
